Mezoamerika dilleri
Görünüm

Mezoamerika dilleri, Güney Meksika, Guatemala'nın tamamı, Belize, El Salvador ve Honduras, Nikaragua ve Kosta Rika'nın bazı kısımlarını kapsayan Mezoamerika kültür alanına özgü dillerdir.[1][2] Alan, birkaç yüz farklı dile ev sahipliği yapmaktadır ve yedi ana dil ailesini içeren kapsamlı bir dil çeşitliliği ile bilinmektedir. Mezoamerika ayrıca, birkaç bin yıl boyunca farklı dilleri konuşanlar arasındaki uzun vadeli etkileşimin, farklı dil aileleri arasında belirli dil özelliklerinin birleşmesiyle sonuçlanması nedeniyle yüksek dilsel difüzyonun olduğu bir alandır. Mezoamerika dil birliği genellikle Mezoamerikan Dil Alanı olarak anılır.
